Seniors' Gifted And Talented Club

Alright; almost two years has passed since a couple of our writers promised to get on to entertain you; pseudonyms and all.  Sometimes I tease that instead of pseudonyms, you get alter egos(especially mine).
Jude Solomon started with Jacob's Playground; we had a crash, the manuscript was lost and my enthusiasm took flight. You don't have to, but I thank G-d that I'm not one of those fogies that gives up easily.  This story by Iris Baum will go through at least three pages at a time, but it must be read, if for no gain but the fun of sharing a mind.  Still Seeking Meshiah is amusing and seriously, non-preaching religious.  It's what happened then that makes us act as we do now.

                   STILL SEEKING MESHIAH
                                by: Iris Baum*

                                                                  1

Paradise was all that ‘gloriously indescribable’ could mean; and, the beautiful creature who knew himself as Dusty(Man), because he was shaped from the ground, also knew his other half as Of-Me(Woman) because she was sculptured from his bone. To him, that was wonderful, so Dusty taught her that “He-Who-Extends-Himself spoke all other things into being, but we are made by His hands. He made me as Adam. I will call you; Havah(Eve).” Eve laid her head on the man’s chest; listening as always. She had much to learn. She asked “Why did Wonderful give all of His works to a creature? He has made you lord over beasts, seas, birds, and trees. Angels, fire and winds do your biddings.
She told Dusty(Adam) “You made nothing, but has all. Is it because of what He mean’s by ‘love’? He asks nothing for this greatness and goodness?”
Adam was thinking ‘If I didn’t know where she came from, I’d say; there’s a lot of talkings in that place.’ I’ve never seen such a gabby creature!'
He said to Eve “Wonderful asks nothing, beloved; I sees that He wants me to do what calls for being done, so I loves His creatures and cares for His garden as He wants me to.”
She asks in response “What calls for being done to me?” Adam’s laughter was so joyously loud, stars and planets beamed and twinkled with pleasure at his pleasure. Then he told the woman “You; you calls for what’s to be done with you; to you, for you; with you.”
The woman said “I should sleep.” She closed her eyes, he closed his. Then she sat up and asked “But Dusty, how did you know that He-Who-Extends-Himself is The Lord-God? You calls 'Him' every name He acts. But; how did you know that He was Sovereign? ”
“I just knew, preciousness. ‘How’ is a word I do not yet know. I will think about 'how' and tell you.”
“That will be good. Sleep, Adama.” He was pleased to hear that!

Adam rose to find his wife employing dinosaurs at fruit picking for beasts that couldn’t reach them. “Look at her.’ Adam said to the Pterodactyl he’s flying on. Besides toiling for the lot of you, I pets you all until I tires.
“The Lord-G-d gives me a wife who shows everyone how to feed themselves and everyone pets her! Why is that, My friend-Pete?”
The flying dinosaur flippantly replied “Oh, for my sake, m’lord; stop jesting that you’d have it differently! All creation knows; she’s you-again. But, she’s more beautiful.”
‘‘Get off, Peter!' Dusty growed 'This’ your last ride on me!” Peter’s laugh was a free-spirit squawking as he replied “You’d love it that way, wouldn’t you, Master? Oh, look, at that! That is the prettiest bunch of greens ever! Master, may I?”
“Land and feed, Pete.’ The man said ‘I must see what Orca knows below; if every fish is feeding as I instructed them to. Sometimes they just play and forget their nutrients.”
“I know. Don’t bother about me. I won’t gorge.”
“Good fellow, Pete.” Pete was the best of air-planes; no cause for pollution!

Peter foraged and Adam dove; when he surfaced, Pete and kind were staring afar. Why were so many birds perched and grounded as if it were Shabaoth? Adam wondered: Now, he felt it; a thing he never felt before, but he was used to experiencing new feelings. Adam knew sadness: A feeling not as deep as the sorrow he’d soon learn, but; a longing. Everything had a mate to romp and scamper with, everything except him. They’d lick, peck and speak lovely things to each other and do that thing that reproduced their kind.    It always made Adam happy to see a Reproduction, then one time, males of types asked after Adam’s mate. He said he hadn’t one, so they probed to hear if he didn’t desire one. Adam then realized that all things were perfect on earth; in the air and the sea. He started thinking of what his Reproductions would be like; he’d feed them, laugh with them, love them and have them trail him and his female. What’d she be like? Ah! Perhaps he should not’ve thought of it, as now; he liked the idea. His only sadness was a longing; not sorrow.
Adam didn’t envy the guys, he simply yearned for fulfillment and He-above made it possible. Adam had never felt more fulfill. But he also had never been troubled; creation was now agitated and the woman was far off, amongst troubled beast. None greeted him as always; some slunk away, some hissed or made threatening sounds. He had to try new whistles to get a willing bird near. Pete came; they flew to the sight of strange vibrations.  The trees! The woman was in the park of trees; Pete refused to enter. He alit on the open plain, so Adam ran toward the evil. He heard talking and stood still, hardly breathing. Another feeling was teaching the man: He never knew bad emotions; but he was getting angry. Adam knew the creature and knew it had no right being in the park; nowhere in the garden! Not only that, it was, was lying! Yes, intentionally lying too, for it knew the truth.
Adam didn’t know what to do; anger of this intensity was new to him. He’d been displeased before but never heatedly. Now, he felt to do something he’d never had to think of. But, what was it?  Um-hum: He felt to destroy, but didn’t know how to; didn’t know destruction. While he contemplated, creatures felt his vibes at distances; becoming erratic and rude to each other. Adam sped near as he felt the Beauty in the tree get more compelling to Havah(Eve). He knew now what he’d do: He’d slay the snake that promoted forbiddance! He now saw it’s beauty as corruption; something used to decieve.  He had no long distance idea that the day would come when ugly women would use Beauty products to decieve onlookers.

The beauty in the tree was a knower also. It knew Adam was aware of disorder, so, it didn’t procrastinate to get back at He-Who-Extends- Himself, but hurried to turn those who replaced it’s kind, against the Creator. This was better warfare, than the big ‘git down’ that caused it to be homeless as of now. Adam trekked but Eve had been given the forbidden and was savoring the knowledge of it when her husband called to her. With a smile she chirped “It’s good, Dusty! Come and taste.”
Dusty fell flat from sliding to brake. Too late! All he thought of as he rose was seeing his beloved become as not. Things that died before, were instantly transformed into other lovely things and families knew that what ever it became, it was still it’s own essence, so goodbyes weren’t woeful. Dying-the-death however; was to never be transformed. No one’d want you nearby, not even as essence; as you would stink.
Our first father couldn’t stand the idea of this being the fate of his beautiful, other self. He felt that before he’d let her go to nothing alone, he’d become nothing with her. He deliberately bit the offered fruit with tearful regret that he’d never again see Him-Who-Extends-Himself. Adam always felt joy to see Him, to feel His strength and comforting presence. Suddenly he felt and realized what defeat was. Adam again fell to the ground and Eve invented the scream. She cried “Dusty; we’re naked!”
Adam looked at the sculptured one with scorn, though he never knew what scorn was; as if to ask ‘What? You think I’m suddenly blind?’ He replied “Surely, we’re naked! The covering that made me as God in the earth is traded for the fruit. The beasts won’t know us, dear one; we are lost!”
“What shall we do?”
“I’ll cover us some how, so He won’t see us as we are when He comes.” Adam answered in fear.

Eve was ashamed. She asked if there was nowhere else to go. Her husband replied that he knew of none, so “Ohhh, let’s hide so He won’t be offended if He finds us before we’re covered.” So, the man and his wife gathered vines and nearby leaves to twine together for clothes. I don’t know why they hid; wild beasts hates the scent of perverted dominance, plus; the fig leaves were luscious to many. The couple will ever be mistaken for food; and God, whom they now feared: Please! He sorrowed for them more than being angry at them, and He was too angry about the manipulat-ion. He got to taking charge around there.
Elohim clothed His children and had a holy session up in there! Then for their own sakes, He banished them to the Penal Colony; lest the host of Hell destroy them right there in East of Eden.

End of chapter.

Pete‘s kind picked at Pete and his family. Eve’s flamingo abandoned her to save it’s own life; when it returned for service years later, Eve had a cheetah-like thing to ride.
The humans had been in the colony so long now, it took reminiscing to recall the Garden; they had to adapt to the 'now' or perish. No one had time to spend on regreting.
Eve was bent over a slab of stone, boring holes in measures of hides to cover: The months of Winds-enters were nigh, and she was grumbling that in all of her 116 years, she never experienced years of frigidity as the past two were. And she hoped Adam would let her do the naming of things; starting with herself! She was all too tired of hearing deceitful beasts talk about Eve being the cause of all miseries.
“How can I cause it to be cold? I’ll wear some other name and train myself to think of me as that person! “You can all forget about blame-taking-Eve. I’m to blame only for what I did and that’s all I’ll ever feel blame for! The months of Winds-enters will be ‘Winter’; those of Warmth-springs-forth, will be ‘Springtime’; Sum-up-of-Seeds’ will simply be ‘Summer’ and Leaf-fall times are ‘Fall!” She’s arguing to pick a fight but no one wants to fight with her.
Since ‘Adam’s fall’, all of his family learned to fight; women and children; as from the first time Dusty had fallen and hurt himself, he knew that a profound blow would do much damage. Then he saw beasts viciously using claws and teeth to draw blood. He’d been chased so often, he noticed them and declared “Uh-huh; if they think they’ve learned wrath, they’ll find themselves also learning the difference between man’s and theirs.”
Eve and he knew bewilderment: Since they slowed down on getting around to caring for all of the beast, they’d had a couple of children kidnap-ped by marauders. They knew what it was to mourn before Cain ever slew his brother.
Newness wasn’t just getting to know yourself any more, it was learning about other people and many other things. Everybody knew that Eve was used to fighting ever since her 23 children were young. When Dusty found her after five years of wandering, she had babies back-to-back. The woman was nearly out of her brilliant mind by the 27th birth. She had nine children before Dusty wandered off seeking a Promised One; a Redeemer who’d restore them to their former residence. And Dusty missed Cain.  Since He-Is didn’t visit them as He did before driving them from the Garden, the couple didn’t refer to Him as The Extended One; but in repentful respect, called Him; He Is, or, The Lord-God, as Dusty first knew Him to be.
The same mighty one promised them this Person who’d pay their debts for them. Regardless of the serpent swearing that their first child belonged to him, both parents thought Cain’d be Meshiah , Messiah or Redeemer. He looked differently, wasn’t afraid of anything and labored beside his parents without request, then he went and not only murdered ‘Humble’ as Abel was called but hid the body and lied about knowing. No way Cain could be Meshiah!

The last two boys were three and five years old; their sisters at home were 30, 22, and teens. They'd be no trouble for Eve in Adam's absence. Too bad if they would, Man couldn’t take any more, so Dusty got on his best friend and kept flying. After years of abandonment, Peter had found the couple, so Adam and he saw after each other when Adam heard Pete’s story. Adam forgave his air-rider and went seeking Meshiah. The man; scraped together as dust, mixed and molded by God’s own hand, experienced brokenness and, self improve-ment by the time he realized he missed Eve.  Befriending Cain didn’t work.
It hurt Adam’s heart to find Cain among the Strangers; fallen angels who needed bodies for self manifestation on Earth. Their leader wouldn’t stand down to the King of the Universe. There was no way to win against Him without having His mortals on their side. Since Almighty couldn’t be baited, they needed ‘Man’ to shield them from God’s wrath as they baited Him! Fallen ones were masters of Sciences, some knew Physiology so they drank animals dry for the fluid of life. They knew what type of blood to get for a body; compatable blood let them appear as themselves, and they were beautiful. It wouldn’t be long, they reasoned before they’d master being human over being beastly like the inexperienced angels. That’s why they went Beast to steal the couple’s children; they needed Human DNA. Before this, there was only Dusty’s family.
People weren’t sexually stimulated as they now are. They came into their season of sexuality as their parents had, around their 40th year. So, Adam raised hell with Cain’s family because there were as many False people as there were real humans. For this; the fallen angels had more to not like Adam for: They saw him, as racist. Oh, Adam; you knew you were right!

Adam forbade his eldest children marriage to ‘devils’. He too knew Science and both of the pair knew that ‘the gods’ weren’t solid flesh. They warned their offspring that they won’t know what they’d reproduce of such unions. “Wait for Him who gave me my wife to give you yours!’ Adam warned ‘Though He avoids us, He does draw nigh if we keeps calling.”
“Yeah’ agreed Mama ‘Hear your father and wait. Bloodsuckers desire you, but; they can’t love you.
They don't know love, just desire. Once they drain you dry, there won't be a need to desire.  Scream when you just sees them!”

Abel was the first of the Adams to marry after a visit from drop-dead-gorgeous women who weren’t women at all. He rose from sleep yelping, while being violated. Abel was ashamed, but, he liked the feeling that came with the yelps. He rebuked and drove the strangers away, but Abel wanted more times of having to holler, so he wanted a woman of his own.  Abel went into secrecy to wail for a wife. For six days and nights he wailed, seemingly for nothing; but arose from sleep on the 13th day with a pain in his side, and finding the one he named for his mom’s favorite plant: The Blue lily.
After Abel’s death, Lily didn’t choose whether to follow the other man; in her craziness of grief, she simply rose at his command, following because he said he was Abel, whom he appeared to be. A sheep sized cat told the family that the liar said he was Abel, back from the dead.

All the earth was of one language for eons and though beasts had their own lingo, they talked with people. “I was hungry, scrounging nearby.’ The cat said ‘It’s folly to depend on the house of Adam for survival any more, but certain of us are loyal to your memory, Mistress. I saw Abel also, but you know it wasn’t he. It was a devil in disguise.
“Be truthful, mam; don’t you think you should hire a set of night-eyes to guard your tree while you sleep or is away? I hears interesting news, you know.”
Practically all trees doubled the size of the General Sherman Sequoia; huge enough to protect a family of eight quite well. Eve was suspicious of any cat seeking to help her; seeing that they did nothing but draw wolves(dogs) after them. Wolves had tasted human flesh and told the news. She asked, why’d anyone want to be eaten; since that’d be their fate if she keep a cat!
The cat replied “Because, my mistress-dear; the gods despise being near us who can see them though they hide in invisibility. When they comes ear-longing and spying I’ll warn you.”
Eve hesitated, Adam walked away, but the two elder daughters who now had Cain’s former dwelling, gladly agreed to have the cat for company. Adam left, for hardly anything obeyed him since Eden past. Times were when, inanimate things rejoiced to do his biddings unless they were teasing him. If he told a mountain to stop casting granite so far from it’s area, the mount ceased to rumble in play for scores of years. Now they not only cast granite when they felt to but loosed boulders.
When he used to ask a tree to cast it’s extra limbs, it was done; now if asked for a limb, for a tree’s own health sake; an uppity tree would throw a twig, or a branch if feeling generous. Though they knew that people’s bodies would make them fit and strong, Adam now had to petition 15 or more trees to make a safe opening to give him entry for safety. Their meanness stemmed from the fact that the vapors which humidified the earth was ceasing at a great rate. Trees had to budget water, so they blamed Eve.   Still caring for the earth, Adam got his family and mammoth friends to help transport water from far off rivers for the big plants. Then, he showed them who had brains instead of branch-es. He let mean trees get gnarled with arthritis; screaming to be untangled from their own grasps. Adam simply reminded them to cast un-needed branches. Uh-huh; one thing at a time.
Eve would smile and shake her head; though she was tired of so much baby-having and marital activity, this man still amazed her.
Though he was strong enough to make a dino buckle it's knees, it hurt Dusty for having to get  brutal with his animals, but they had become too cruel to him by harming his family. Now that they hated Eve for the woes they suffered, they had no love for her children: Not reminded that they were Adam's also. Adam seethed about this and his love for big animals waned.
The man hardened more as beasts became 'man eaters'. He loved his children and it hurt him deeply to imangine their pain whilst they were grasped between crushing fangs.  What was worst, is: At such time of sorrow and woe, those called The Fallen taunted him; causing the king of all Beings to realize that he was constantly becoming more spiritually weakened.  Realizing was not replacing; just making him admit that at times, he was not whom he was meant to be. At such times, he'd be glad that he was alone so his family wouldn't hear him roar.  He noticed that when he roared in his passion, every threatening thing got out of his way and stayed away for long lenghts of time.
Though he was surprised, Dusty said "Fine; if they don't respect me; they'll fear me, sure-blast-it!"
Spinosaurus, and Giganotosaurus both got to feel what being knocked out felt like, he’d wield clubs for positively more damage.  Adam used to stiffen an arm at just the right time and angle, then brake a mean dinosaur’s knee(s). He took choke holds on mad birds, but with clubs, he’d infict major damage to the leg of ole Dino. Hadn’t he made huts for more delicate animals from dinosaur frames? Uh-huh.

The dear Diplodocus, Tyrannosaurus Rex and Apatosaurus wouldn’t be so bothered with eating things as small as people were and ’small’ is not what they generally were.  Adam was 7’ft even, Eve was 6'5: Still, didn’t measure up to most dinosaurs’ ankles. They’d spring from tree heights to attack the eyes of giant beasts, unless one or more of the three above would help them fight; those and mammoths with a spite.
Knowing where a beast’s reproduction glands were, gave the Adams great advantage with a sharpened pole. Dusty’d jump on a foot and ram sharp granite of his arm’s length; right between great toes. Big things seemed to’ve forgotten that they once depended on Man’s care. Dr, Adam and Assistant-Eve were set to remind them that if one knew how to heal a body, s/he well knew how to destroy it.

Eve’s eyes got misty as she felt her love for Dusty, it just shot out to the children as they sowed the rye field “Our dearest shouldn’t have to wear himself out to protect and provide; we weren’t made to be attacked, nor was he made to tear his beautiful flesh at war with beasts and devils.”
A young lady remarked with a smile “You love him, don’t you mother?”
“Forever, Mirthan.”
The other daughter asked “Tell us about Love, mother. How do we go about loving one other than father or brother? To love as you do?”
The mother replied “It’s a wonder of the spirit, Luna; family torrents can’t separate a union of true love.”

“If wives are taken out of men; how do females get husbands, our-lady? We weren’t taken out of anyone. Can men be taken out of us?”
“Sow your seeds in the trench, Luna; you’re not noticing your labor. As for
your question; I’ve asked it twice 50 times for you both, but gets no answer except: It shall be done!”
“But how?’ A nosey youth asked ‘They’re already here, and there are no men except uncle Cain’s sons who lives far to Red Place, and father fought with him when he went there. How will my sisters get husbands?”
“Please, Seth! I have rathers to not hear of Red. It pains us to think of your brother who can’t live among his own without feeling guilt. But you watch: nothing‘s too hard for God. I remember Him: My girls will be matched.”
Mirthan gigglishly announced “If I marry my cousin, I’ll be 14 years older than my husband! Would it matter, if he‘s also of age by then?”
Everybody was too cracked up to reply but the son of Abel’s wife said “I feel, there’s nothing to matter. I’ve never cast a rib, but whether women I see are more aged than I or younger; I senses that it’s how a man feels about one that makes him want her.” He’d mess around and be 10 years younger than his wife; ends up marrying Mirthan; with her parents’ blessings.
Adam thundered “Gôka is human enough! His mother is my son‘s flesh; Abel’s blood will over-rule the beast in him. So their children will be mortal because of our Mirthan.”  In earlier years, Dusty and his 14 sons with their animals warred with gods about this intermarrying thing.
There were other angels who didn’t like their own kind, but didn’t care to union with humans. They just liked being around us and wanted to be accepted. Seeing how to help Man prosper beyond Satan’s barriers, they’d thereby prosper also; being accepted and having spite on Lucifer while at it .

The family intended to fight devils with their own weapons; their ranks and names. The spirits who despised their own felt pity for humans. People had the manual, but they were dust and the gods, though fallen were still superior to Man-without-The-Almighty. So, the demons that liked humans; now calling themselves Earth Spirits, agreed among themselves to help Adam; without him knowing. For, as they said “The fool will forbid our aid. We must prepare to shield them from the darts of Death, which will surely come.” People knew: Spirits can’t be killed but they could sure be bound. The Adams would bind until few were left free! They had also what we might consider, bombs: Each man had a roll of sheep hide with Words of God as given to the pure Adam, before the fall. They were to be flung into the angelic midst in the heat of battle. It was wise, as our own Bibles attests: ONE CAN CHASE 1000, TWO CAN CHASE (BANISH) 10, OOO. The Adams gave all they had that day and devils withdrew in fear, that day! They wondered: “How did The Lord let Eve sneak the Book out of East Eden? Right past Him!”
They missed the lesson: Nothing get’s sneaked pass The Most High. Even the Adams’ didn’t know, but He Who Knows, saw this battle from eternity and again guarded Man from destruction by allowing Eve to have what her family would need against stronger foes. The battle wasn’t theirs but The Lord’s as what was happening on Earth was never in His will for the cheated mortals.

Adam and his beloved Eve were nearly 300 years old at the time of that battle; they didn’t see need for war with ‘Strange flesh’ for over 70 years. This time most soldiers of Hell had perfected the handling of their stolen bodies. They wanted wives, mainly to reproduce; but now being of Man’s flesh, some gods looked on human women and loved them. They took wives of all house-holds that didn’t scorn them. But that willful Mr. Adam; ole Dusty, forbade it until he was over half a thousand years old.  Seeing the beast in some people, he bawled “There’ll be no such mingling of bloodlines to my name! Get you to a pasture and find ye a swine or a bear; there’re no such women to this house!
“If any daughter to my name be so desperate as to not contain until The Lord-God sends her a man that is a man; the fruit of her womb I WILL denyyy!” Well, Cain had waited until he had gotten a wife from his side, contrary to the fable that he married strange flesh. He went to fight beside his father, brothers and kin to uphold the tradition of Adam, but as if Payback was just waiting to lay the worst upon him as debt to the sin of bloodshed; not one to seven but 12 of his young women married ‘self-made’ men. Some of their children were far too brilliant and capable, looking like humans, though they snorted like beasts in anger; even neighed when they laughed. Some of these humanoids had to be totally covered to be accepted for they had furry legs and backs, or hooves, or elfin ears. Cain tried to die!
When Adam heard, he said “Red; tell your grandchildren to don’t bring their little creepers around me! I‘m a man!!!”  If devils are to blame for racial separatism, they sure had their match in a man. But, they lived well on earth while Adam scuffled.

Luna and Caspian were visiting Mirthan’s and Gôka’s cave. This year was theirs to host the Sacrifices. I don’t understand why the Historic Cave people are portrayed as gruff, goofy and stooped as a whole. I’m sure some were, as people had come to know sickness, and there were accidents and birthing incidences. Those as well as family situations might’ve been the reasons for people being goofy; as for stooped, those people’s spines were too well made for them to not be as perfectly postured as the forebears’. On second thought, I must contradict myself: As eons passed, malnutrition may well have caused the stooped spines. Torah mentioned that Methuselah wept for Meshiah-The Deliverer because of economical conditions.
As long as Adam and Eve saw sunrises though, their diminished power of being supreme in the earth was a grace to their descendants; for the love of their God was still with them. He was way no more angry, but His word still held; unchangeable. As long as the first pair lived they had dominion. Though everything Adam ruled determined to prove that he was no longer as God over them, he determined to prove that he was.
Dusty taxed gods to supplement for his family in hard times. Times were, when he or any who came out of him would sow and tell the ground to produce, it would. Later, the same men had to travel far to ask daddy what to do as the ground wouldn’t yield. “Reprimand it!’ He told them ‘Harness a strong beast with vines and take to ye’selves, seven thick staves; sharpen one and make of sharp granite, this such tool. If Earth won‘t obey you, she‘ll obey the rod.” He showed them his plow. Plowing caused lost of body moisture but, by the strength of his arms and the sweat of his brow, man dominated the earth.
